Tank Farm from Excel |
A Tank Farm modeling utility is available for dynamically
creating Emission Master files from monthly, quarterly, or
yearly tank farm production records. Tank farm production
records are maintained in an Excel file. Emission Master
reads the Excel data and then creates individual storage
tank modeling activities as needed. This is an excellent way
for managing monthly tank farm data for fresh or waste
solvent storage tanks.
To use the Tank Farm Modeling Utility, the user creates an
Excel file that contains the tank farm data. From Emission
Master, the user selects the Tank Farm Import Utility from
the Utilities menu and then selects the Excel file that
contains the data for processing. When processing has been
completed, an Emission Master file will be created that
contains all of the storage tank records from the original
Excel file. The completed Emission Master file can be saved
and imported into Emissions Accountant.

Control Device
Analysis |
A powerful new utility that have been developed called the
Control Device Breakdown Malfunction Abnormality Report.
This new utility can analyze one or more processes that were
running at the time when a common control device experienced
an outage. Emission Master creates a comprehensive report
regarding the emissions that were released to the atmosphere
during the outage period.
From Emission Master the user selects the Emission Master
processes that were operating in the factory during the
control device outage. Once all of the effected processes
have been selected and the steps highlighted, Emission
Master runs the complete emissions analysis and shows the
emissions that would have occurred if the control device had
been operating normally, if the control device had been
down, and the difference between the two conditions.
See Tutorials.This
report can be used in support of the IL AER Malfunction
Break Down Report. |

Process Gant View |
The Gant View is a window that graphically
shows how process equipment is used within the process being
modeled. This window has been enhanced so that vessels are
shown in the order that they appear in the process being
modeled. Other improvements were made in the way that the
data can be copied and pasted to other Office (Word &
PowerPoint) applications. |

Chemical
Import
& Export |
Emission Master contains a
chemical database as part of the normal program.
Chemical records can now be exported from one Emission
Master database and imported to a second Emission Master
database. |

Vessel Inspector Window |
When modeling complex processes that require
several vessels and many activities, it is easy to loose
track of the batch contents in different vessels. The Vessel
Visualization Window was developed to quickly provide the
user a graphical picture of the contents of all vessels in
process. The contents of each vessel is shown consisting of
vertical rectangular boxes to represent the different
compounds and horizontal boxes to represent the different
phases (aqueous, non-aqueous, and solids) that might be
present in the vessel. Selecting different activities in the
process will result in the Vessel Visualization Window to
display only the vessel contents at the selected activity.
Double clicking on the contents graphics will cause a
secondary window to appear to display much more detail
composition information. |

External File
Link |
Create links to external files that contain additional
information about the process being modeled. Once
external files have been referenced then the user may simply
open the document using its associated program application.
Any MS Office (or similar file) may be referenced as
long as it has an associated application. For example, the
user could reference a Word document that contains the
batch sheet operating instructions or an Excel file that
contains material balance data. |

|
Database Security |
Database records can be managed by a database
administer and maybe locked from further changes or made
public so that changes may be made. Any record contained in
the Chemical, Equipment, or Control Devices database may be
independently managed. |

|
|
File Merge |
Merge Emission Master recipe files.
This new recipe merge feature can assist in combining
smaller emission master files that were created separately
or enable the modeler to insert repeated standard process
operations. |

|
Advanced
Search |
Comprehensive search for locating database
and activity records. This feature is accessed using
the left mouse click. |
|
|
|
|
Archive Process Files |
Emission Master recipe files may be saved
along with the original chemical and equipment database
records that were used during modeling. These files
may then be reloaded at a later date using the original data
records. This feature enables one to achieve key
process models for future reference. |
